Established in 1993. Building what comes next.

For more than three decades, Xaypanya School has been part of the education community in Vientiane.

Today, we continue to build on those foundations through the curriculum of the Lao Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES), strengthened by English, science, technology, robotics, digital skills, creativity and practical learning.

Our story

Since its establishment in 1993, Xaypanya School has grown alongside generations of students and families in our community.

Across its history, the school became known for strong academic foundations and student achievement.

Today, we are carrying that commitment forward with a clear direction for the next generation.

Alongside the MoES curriculum, Xaypanya is strengthening English, science, technology, robotics, digital capability, creativity and practical learning — giving students more opportunities to explore, build, experiment and apply what they learn.

At Xaypanya, we believe students need both strong academic foundations and opportunities to apply what they learn.

From the early years through Secondary, learning becomes progressively more structured, challenging and independent.

Students are encouraged not only to remember information, but also to ask questions, communicate ideas, investigate, create, collaborate and solve problems.

We want knowledge to become something students can use.

MoES curriculum

A strong Lao educational foundation

Xaypanya follows the curriculum of the Lao Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES).

Core subjects and academic fundamentals remain at the centre of the learning experience.

With the MoES curriculum as a strong foundation, Xaypanya extends the learning experience through English, science, technology, robotics, digital skills and practical learning.

Our students are encouraged to build knowledge, confidence, curiosity and the capabilities they will need for the opportunities ahead.

Building confidence step by step

English is developed progressively throughout the Xaypanya learning journey.

In the early years, the focus is on familiarity, listening, simple communication and confidence.

As students progress, they develop vocabulary, reading, speaking, comprehension and the ability to communicate in a wider range of situations.

English can also be reinforced through activities in science, technology, robotics and project-based learning.

Our goal is to help students become increasingly comfortable and confident using English as they grow.

XAYPANYA — FUTURE MAKERS

Learning for a changing world

Future Makers brings together practical learning experiences across robotics, science, technology, digital skills, creativity and innovation.

Through projects, experiments, construction, coding and hands-on challenges, students are encouraged to turn ideas into something they can see, test, improve and explain.

Future Makers does not replace the core curriculum.

It strengthens the learning experience by giving students more opportunities to do something with what they learn.
